2.1 Time management with a timetable

Retor dice

Have you worked with Aitana’s timetable?

It’s time for you to design yours!

1. Time management with a timetable

Aitana has divided her time in 3 different kinds of activities: leisure time, school time and homework time.

Let’s see if you can identify the different activities. In the worksheet you will find 3 boxes. Try to put each activity in the right box.

2. Design your timetable

Design your own ideal morning and afternoon timetable. Use colours and emoticons as in the example. Then you can choose an activity to continue practicing.

3. Managing time

To reach a goal, you need to be strategic. That is to say, to have methods, techniques, "tricks" to get to where you want to be sooner or easier.

Now I'm going to teach you a strategy, take advantage of it to reach your challenge!

This strategy is called "Managing working time". It helps you to improve your time. You need to start thinking about how to use your time. Then you are ready to make plans and focus on which of them are more important. You need to prioritize wisely.

Doing your daily homework everyday is a priority when you are in High School. Moreover, this strategy will allow you to have more free time to do other activities. If you spend daily time studying, then you will not have to spend a whole evening doing everything you haven’t done before. You can spend time doing things you like or being with your friends.

This strategy will help you to know what you have to do and to achieve the challenge as Aitana has done in her timetable.

Here you find the link to  the Learning to Learn Competence Guide, where a series of steps are explained.
