Motus dice ... Was there any coincidence with a partner?
In this activity we proposed you to try to discuss what is art and what isn’t.
While working in a group we also learn as a team. There are partners that discuss many things, others speak quite well, others are more creative, etc.
We all have different abilities to solve the activities, but when we collaborate, we learn together and we are able to solve any challenge.
Therefore, it’s important that your team follows these tips:
Everything a person knows is shared with the rest of the team.
We collaborate on tasks for the team to work on.
We appreciate the superpowers of each person.
We respect what each person offers to the team.
2. Art expression
With these activities you will compare what is considered art and what isn’t, you’ll also appreciate that art is more than an aesthetic expression, it also has a message for the viewer.

Something that is artistic and related to good taste or beauty.
Algo artístico y relacionado con el buen gusto o la belleza.
Example:
In class, we are studying the aesthetic representation of the landscape.

Option A: Art or rubbish?
Classify these pictures into these two categories.
Option B: My artwork, my protest
Most street art has a social message. They can be controversial but they are a medium for voices of social change or protest. Can you relate the social protests with the different artworks?
Definition:
It is something that can cause conflicting opinions.
Es algo que puede causar opiniones encontradas.
Example:
The topic discussed at the meeting was controversial.
El tema debatido en la reunión era controvertido.
Option C: Guess the message
These quotes taken from works of art want to say something. What do they try to express? Choose the appropriate word for each gap to create messages related to important issues in society.
Definition:
It is an important topic that people talk about.
Es un tema importante del que la gente habla.
Example:
The issue of bullying is being dealt with in Parliament.
El tema del acoso escolar se está tratando en el Parlamento.
Option D: You’re the artist
Create a piece of art with some of the elements proposed.
Drag the images to the sides of the white square and drop them where you want.
Think about the message that matches your creation.
Kardia dice... Rock, paper, scissors?
Deciding what is art and what is rubbish is not a matter of luck, as in the game `rock, paper, scissors´.
Behind each piece of art there is an aesthetic sense, an interpretation and a message that each author expresses through the combination of materials that they have used whether these materials are new or not.
Have you ever had this doubt?
