Let's work together in groups.
First, read the cards so that everyone understands the meaning of every word.
You can use a dictionary in case you need it. In this learning guide you can find the instructions to work in groups.
Your teacher will give the game to play with your classmates:
Partyreka!
Object of the game:
Find objects on the tiles to win cards. Win the most cards.
Components:
9 different tiles and 110 cards.
There are two types of cards:
- image + word
- definition of an image
Setup:
- Place the 9 different tiles on the table.
- Shuffle the cards and place them face down next to the tiles.
How to play:
- Place one card face up next to the game board so that everyone can see it.
- Now, everyone starts finding the image on the board game that matches with the card face-up.
- As soon as anyone finds a matching picture, they yell out “Partyreka!” and point out the image on the board game and say the word of the image (E.g., witch).
- The first player to find the image on the board gets the card.
Switch or flip:
There are some cards with arrows:
- Switch the location of any two tiles.
- Flip over any tile.
Warning:
Do not point out the wrong image that doesn’t match with the card, or you will lose one card.
