SCHOOL FUNDRAISING IDEAS

Are you looking to support a good cause in your school but you don't know how ?

Let's learn some ideas. It’s a challenge, but it's also a good opportunity for the whole school to have fun!

You can organize a solidarity breakfast: teachers and families can bring some baked goods to your school. You can offer food and drinks for a set price. Similar ideas are: chocolate sales, Halloween sales, school supplies sales or flower sales.

Flea market: families can bring in items they want to sell from home. You can prepare specific tables for each type of item.

Craft exhibition: encourage your family to be creative and make crafts to sell. Each classroom can come up with a different craft idea to contribute.

Raffles: you can sell tickets to win a particular donated item. This could be a basket of goods, a 50/50 draw for cash, or another prize donated by the community or school.

AUCTIONS

Silent auction: donated items can be gathered in the school gym or hall. Participants can walk around for a limited amount of time and put their name and offer price down on items they are interested in.

Live auctions: here, participants announce the highest bid and they can bid again until the highest bidder takes the donated item. Or, have classes out-bid one another for pizza parties or get more school break time.

Dance-a-thon: students and teachers dance for a certain amount of time to raise money. Donations can be made in support of a dancer. Similar contests are walk-a-thon or bike-a-thon.

Board Games: Participants pay an entry fee and winners can get prizes

Bands Battle: Participants can perform in a band or alone and you can sell tickets to the event. People vote on their favorite and give that band a prize.

You can also organize a fundraising event at school:

Events: Talent shows, concerts, escape rooms, fun run day, pet day, multicultural day.

Option D. The event

Record at least two items that you would need for each event from the list below:

Kardia dice... Which is your cause, your reason for fighting?

La imagen muestra un dibujo sobre una piedra de la silueta en negro de una niña intentando agarrar la cuerda de un globo de color rojo con forma de corazón.

You may have a reason to fight for. It may be some cause of your own, or of your family, maybe of some friend of yours, or it can even be a more general social cause. It is the cause which you support over the rest.

That is YOUR cause. It would be great if other people supported you and helped you get your aim, wouldn’t it? A solidarity campaign can be the best way you succeed in it.
