1. We have learnt to create a video CV

Our video CV:

SECTIONS:

  1. Introduction:
    • Initial greeting: “Greetings and welcome to my video CV!”
    • Personal information: name, address, profession, etc.
  2. Education:
    • Certificates: Secondary, Baccalaureate, Vocational Training Cycle, languages.
    • University: Bachelor’s degree, Master’s degree, Doctorate.
  3. Talents:
    • Personal traits: I’m quite/very/pretty/… witty, courageous, accurate, analytical, peaceful, enthusiastic, etc.
    • Talents: I’m extremely/fairly/... good at… problem solving, time management, public speaking, team work, etc.
  4. Work experience: 
    • Any experience you may have had: “I’ve taken care of younger cousins”, “I’ve offered private lessons”, “I’ve sold biscuits for a charity”, etc.
  5. Professional goals: 
    • Availability: part-time job, full-time job, willingness to move, etc.
    • Position: intern, assistant, head of department, etc.
  6. Contact details: 
    • A way to reach you: phone number, e-mail or website.
  7. Closing: 
    • Mention your interest for the position and availability for an interview and thank the viewers for watching.

SPEECH:  

  • Write your speech and practise it.
  • Talk slowly and clearly.
  • Hold the viewer's attention.

2. Other situations

By creating a video CV you have acquired different skills. Now you can use them in different situations:

  • Convince people to help crowdfunding.
  • Show your skills during a contest.
  • Prepare presentations about exchanges, associations, volunteering, etc.
  • Analyse people better.
  • Reflect on yourself.
