1. What shape is the universe?

The Universe contains billions of galaxies, each containing millions or billions of stars. It is incredibly large. A ship traveling at the speed of light (300,000 km per second) would take 100,000 years just to cross our Milky Way.

The Universe has not always been the same size. Scientists believe that it started with a Big Bang. Since then, the Universe has been expanding at a rapid rate. In the activity, you'll make your own stretchy universe slime.

2. What you need

Ingredientes para la elaboración del slime.

  • 240 ml clear school glue
  • 2 Tablespoons contact saline solution.
  • 1 Tablespoon baking soda.
  • Glitter
  • Red and blue food coloring.
  • 1 bowl

3. How to make slime

1. Add glue to bowl.

2. Add food coloring and mix in baking soda.

4. Using your hands, knead the slime until it holds together.

4. Tips for making slime

  • The more contact saline solution you add, the thicker it’ll be.
  • The less contact saline solution you add, the slimier it’ll be.
  • Use plastic bowls and spoons to make clean up easier.
  • Make sure to get the color correct before adding the saline.
