Many people dream of having the chance to go and live somewhere else. For the hero of our course, that dream has come true. Meet Juan Vargas Caballero, a 24-year-old from Seville as he arrives in London, where he's going to work for a year in a hotel. Juan studied a course in Tourism and now he wants to put his education to good use. Behind him in Spain he's leaving his family, his friends and Beatriz, his girlfriend (maybe you remember her from last year's course). But of course he's going to meet lots of new people so he won't feel lonely.
Juan loves going to the beach (here's a photo of him there) and going out with his friends. He's also typical of people of his age so you can usually see him texting on his mobile phone, and he likes Facebook, too. In addition, he's a big fan of the cinema and he likes reading. When he was younger, he loved Harry Potter- nowadays, he reads anything with a good story.
He has a very exciting year ahead of him, full of new experiences in a busy, cosmopolitan multi-cultural city like London, so he's going to learn a lot of new things- and so will you!
