Contexto y objetivos de la tarea

Contexto:

Mediante las actividades de listening y writing propuestas en esta tarea, podrás mejorar tu capacidad de comprensión oral y expresión escrita al mismo tiempo que sigues practicando las estructuras gramaticales de los tiempos futuros en inglés.  

En esta tarea aprenderás a:
  • Comprender las ideas principales y detalles de un diálogo.
  • Reflexionar sobre el uso del tiempo futuro en inglés.
  • Producir un texto narrativo sobre hechos futuros en el que se respete su esquema, las normas de cohesión y coherencia con un uso correcto de conectores y corrección gramatical y léxica.

LISTENING

Listen the following phone conversation between Stacy and Brandom and answer the following questions. Try to answer with your own words.

1)     What are they going to do tonight?

2)     What is the girl going to do with Ana?

3)     What is Stacy going to do on Friday?

WRITING

Future Review: Choose the correct answer for each use of the future tense.

USES OF FUTURE TENSES

a) refers to fixed future events and emphasises that plans or arrangements have already been made

b) is used to express future intentions that have already been decided before the time of speaking

c) is used to express future decisions that are decided at the time of speaking (spontaneous offers, promises and decisions)

d) refers to future intentions that have been decided but have not been fully planned

e) is used to make predictions that are based on personal judgement, opinion or intuition

f) is used to make predictions that are based on present evidence. The predicted event is either very near (and can be seen) or seems sure to happen

g) is often used with a future sense when it is part of a programme or timetable, such as with trains or buses.

  • 3rd paragraph: Your predictions for your life in 2025. (Use E of the exercise above)
  • Conclusion.
