6. Once you have your C.V., it is a good idea to accompany it with a letter of application or covering letter. But as we are surrounded by technological means, why don't you create your own video cover letter? You can use your mobile phone, upload it to Youtube and send the link to your teacher.

Take into account the following tips:

  • Highlight your positives and your selling points first.
  • Talk first about your education and include what type of position you’re looking for.
  • Don’t forget to add some key words about your work ethic and personality.  Next, talk about your current position and what you do.
  • This is a great part to include some of your favorite professional experiences and professional successes.
  • Be enthusiastic and dynamic (but don't go too far!). If you sit and read through a list or off a script, you will not be convincing.
  • End by leaving your audience with easy ways to contact you.

This video may help you to create your video cover letter.
