María y su compañera Anne tienen bastantes aficiones en común. Si te fijas verás que están de acuerdo en muchas cosas, aunque no en todo:

 

M: What do you do in your free time?

A: I do sports. I play tennis and I do karate.

M: Oh , karate! I don't like karate, but I like tennis. I think that karate is dangerous.                             

A: I don't agree. Karate is not dangerous. It is a very safe sport.

M: I also do sport. I go to the gym and I do aerobics.

A: I also like going to the cinema and meeting friends and reading. And you?

M: Apart from dancing, I like the cinema very much and I like and

I love meeting friends,but I don't like reading.I love eating out; do you like eating out?

A: Oh yes! I love it! I love Italian restaurants. Pizza is my favourite food.

M: Why don't we go to a restaurant next Friday?   

A: I agree, that is a wonderful idea.

Si la persona que está o no está de acuerdo es "he/she" decimos he/she agrees he/she doesn´t agree. En negativa expresa desacuerdo. 

También para expresar desacuerdo se puede decir he/she disagrees.

Para expresar acuerdo o desacuerdo con algo o alguien también puedes usar otras expresiones como:

 

 Expressing agreement
  • I agree with you .
  • That's so true.
  • That's for sure.
  • You're absolutely right.
  • That's exactly how I feel.
  • Exactly.
  • I'm afraid I agree with (James).
  • No doubt about it.
 
 Expressing disagreement
 
  • I don't think so.
