Do you know what movie rating systems or guidelines are used in different countries to determine to appropriateness for different audiences? In the United States, the classifications of "G," "PG," "PG-13," "R," and "NR-17".

If a film is not submitted for rating or is an uncut version of a film that was submitted, the label NR (Not Rated) or UR (Unrated) is often used. Uncut/extended versions of films that are labeled "Unrated" also contain warnings saying that the uncut version of the film contains content that differs from the theatrical release and may not be suitable for younger children or minors.

In Quentin Tarantino's film, Django Unchained, Jamie Foxx plays the title character, a freed slave turned bounty hunter searching for his wife and their plantation tormentors.
As is the case with all of Tarantino's films, Django Unchained is incredibly violent. Listen to this interview with the director before the school shootings in Newtown, Conn., and before critics took him to task for the film's brutality.
