1. Lee el siguiente texto:

Henry Melville was an American writer. He was born in New York in 1819 and he died when he was seventy-two years old in the same city.  He wrote one of the most famous novels in American history: Moby Dick.

In this book, Ishmael, the narrator, tells the story of a whaling ship, the Pequod. There were people of different nationalities in it and the captain, Ahab, was obsessed with the hunting of a white whale called Moby Dick because she took his leg away from him.

Some people hate the book, but there are people who love it, too. They have read it and they know it very well. Once a year in Massachusetts, for example, you may find volunteers reading some passages out loud for more than 24 hours. It is a great celebration and Peter Whittemore, great-great-grandson of the author, was a special guest this year, as he has read the opening chapter.
