6. Five o´clock, tea time!! / Las cinco en punto, ¡Hora del té!
Una vez más aquí tienes el email de nuestra bailarina María... al final te lo vas a saber de memoria. Este vez te lo enseñamos para que te fijes en las tres partes del correo que aparecen en negrita, ¿adivinas qué significan?, ¿para qué utilizará María los números?
Efectivamente, está contándole a Ulrike a qué hora hace sus cosas a diario: At seven o´clock (a las siete en punto), at half past seven (a las siete y media), at twelve o´clock (a las doce en punto)

Hello Ulrike! My name is María and I am from Spain. I live in London and I am very happy with my dance grant. I am learning a lot and I am very glad I accepted the grant to come here. I think that the best way for you to get an idea of how things work here, is to explain to you what I do every day. I usually get up at seven o´clock in the morning. I always have a shower and get dressed. Then I have a tea and a toast for breakfast and I leave my flat. I sometimes take the underground to go to my dance academy, but on Mondays and Thursdays I take the bus at half past seven. I attend my dance lessons and I always have luch at twelve o´clock. In the afternoon I take English, Geography and maths lessons. I always take the underground back home but I never arrive home before six in the evening. Anne (my flatmate) always arrives before and she often prepares dinner for us both. She doesn´t eat meat because she is a vegetarian, so we never eat meat for dinner, she cooks pasta woderfully. I don´t watch tv in the evening because I don´t understand it very well, but I usually listen to music or read in my bed. I hope you accept the grant and you come here. What do you do everyday? Como habrás deducido en este apartado vas a aprender a decir la hora en inglés. No es difícil, se dice igual que en nuestro idioma, aunque debes tener en cuenta un par de cosillas. Fíjate primero en las fotos:

¿Ves cual es la principal diferencia entre la hora española y la inglesa? ¡Efectivamente! En inglés se dicen primero los minutos y luego las horas: Son las 3 y cinco-It´s five past three
- Para decir son las utilizamos It´s: Son las 3 en punto- It´s three o´clock
- Para decir a las utilizamos at: a las 3 en punto- At three o´clock
- La palabra cuarto es quarter: Son las 3 y cuarto- It´s quarter past three
- La letra y para la hora se dice past. Son las 3 y cuarto- It´s quarter past three
- La palabra menos para la hora en inglés es to: Son las cuatro menos cinco- It´s five to four
- Y media se dice half past: Son las tres y media: It´s half past three
- En punto se dice o´clock: Son las tres en punto: It´s three o´clock

Cuando te dicen la hora seguida de am quiere decir desde las doce de la noche hasta las doce de la mañana.
Si te dicen o lees pm quieren decir que es desde las doce del medio día hasta las doce de la noche.
- It´s three o´clock pm: Son las tres de la tarde
- It´s eleven am: Son las once de la mañana.
