Lee el siguiente texto breve sobre un vídeo de Mr Bean. Fíjate en las acciones que se describen y sobre el momento del que se habla.
In this episode of the show, Mr Bean has an appointment with the dentist but he is a bit late. He usually gets up at eight o'clock but right now he is still sleeping. What is he doing in the video? These are some activities he is doing right now:

He is opening the window. He is shaving and drying his clock. He is opening the wardrobe and he is panicking. He is walking tiptoe and leaving home in a hurry.

What's he doing in the second part of the show? He is taking his car and driving to the dentist. At the same time, he is getting dressed as well as he can. He is taking of his pyjamas and he is putting up his shirt, trousers ans socks. He is brushing his teeth. He is driving fast so he is doing it badly.

Se conoce como Present Continuous (Presente continuo) en inglés . Junto al Presente Simple es uno de los verbos principales del presente. Para ver su forma y uso, mira la siguiente presentación:
 


A la hora de traducir el Present Continuous al español usamos la perífrasis verbal "estar+gerundio" (Ej.: estar comiendo, estar durmiendo...) porque no existe un tiempo verbal como tal en nuestro idioma.

Caso de estudio

Ahora te proponemos que traduzcas las siguientes frases al español.
